Please note that depending on entries received, we may need to combine entry categories by experience and/or gender to ensure sufficient fencers to run the poules. Make sure you check the email account connected with Sport80 for messages from us around check in times etc. to ensure that the competition runs as smoothly as possible.

Taking part in more than one category (either fencing different weapons at the same level, or the same weapon at different levels) is at the discretion of the organisers since it may cause problems with timetabling on the day. Please email chair@emfencing.com if you’re interested in this, as if agreed we will also offer a discount on the second entry.

Entry criteria:

This is not a ranking competition. As this is intended to be a competition for novice and beginner fencers, we don’t expect to receive entries from people who are currently in the national rankings for that weapon as follows: top 100 for ME or MF, top 80 for MS, top 80 for WE or WF, top 50 for WS). Likewise, if you’re thinking about entering and have won a senior open competition in that weapon, this is unlikely to be an appropriate competition for you. If you’re unsure if this is the right level of competition for you, please email chair@emfencing.com before entering.
